Vegan Dinner Recipe: Stroganoff

Hey everyone! How are you doing? Today is going to be a throw back recipe for me. My mom’s side of the family is Mennonite and I’ve got to be honest with you, some of the food is incredible! The food, in my opinion, is not very healthy as it contains a lot of fats – heavy cream, butter etc. BUT if you swap those animal products for plant products, bam it’s healthy. Right? That’s what I did with this recipe. I’m going to continue to experiment with some other recipes and I’ll post the ones that turn out.

So what I did here is pretty simple. I just swapped the butter for oil (I didn’t use 3 tablespoons – maybe only 1 – 1.5 tablespoons), ground beef for lentils (never use the soaked ones from the can. Always use dry), vegan Worcestershire sauce (optional), vegetable broth instead of chicken broth, no beef beef broth paste instead of beef bouillon and Hot For Food’s Sour Cream. That’s it!
