Vegan in Surrey: Chana Masala at Taste of Punjab

Lately, I cannot get enough of anything curry. In the wintertime, I definitely would rather have curry over soup any day. My obsession with curry is starting to become a bit of an overkill, but how can anyone get enough when you find the perfect curry?

I think that it would be an understatement to say that there are a lot of Indian Restaurants out there. It can sometimes be difficult to find a restaurant that makes authentic-tasting food. Where would one even begin? I have been to restaurants that make food with no flavour or even where the food is not authentic. I am here to change your life so that is exactly what I am going to do. Taste of Punjab makes literally the best chana masala I have ever tasted. I literally don’t know how they do it. It’s flavourful and authentic. It’s affordable and even comes with a free rice (score!). It’s a little bit oily, but I think that’s to be expected when ordering any Indian food.

When you order the curry from here, you have to ask for it without ghee, butter and dairy. I am not really sure how they make it, but it’s always better to be safe than to be sorry. Also, if you like to eat your curries with naan/roti rather than rice, you have to get the roti without butter as the naan is made with milk.
