Hey everyone! How are you doing? This week, I am feeling more inspired to eat healthier foods. Lately, I haven’t been eating that healthy. There were a lot of factors as to why – mostly the stress caused from my job – which then obviously led to low energy levels. This week is going to change. It has to! I am kicking off this week with a restaurant that I discovered on Dragon’s Den. I actually binge-watched the entire show (the seasons that are on Netflix). Note: binge-watching TV is another problem that I have and need to work on, but I am going to work on one thing at a time.
Anyways, the owners of The Green Moustache came onto the den to pitch their franchising opportunity. They were rejected by the Dragons, but I still wanted to try out their food. The main reason that I was so intrigued by The Green Moustache is how they pitched their restaurant. It’s food with a purpose. Instead of going to the pharmacy to get prescription drugs, go to their restaurant and actually heal your health problems.
I am happy to report that their Superfood Salad was super delicious! What made it so special was the dressing. It’s called the Liquid Gold dressing. Oh boy was it ever! Usually most dressing bases are made from oil, but I figured that it wouldn’t be the case this time because it couldn’t be. That wouldn’t make sense because they serve healing foods. It wasn’t oily, but what could it be? I had to find out. I had to know what was in the dressing. How was it made!? Before you read any further, type in the comments section what you think the dressing base is made out of.
Okay, hello again. Now that you commented what your guess is, are you ready to find out the truth? It is…..potatoes! What the heck? Did anyone guess it? I for sure didn’t. They said it was made out of potatoes, apple cider vinegar, tamari, turmeric and nutritional yeast. Crazy, right? I am definitely going to try and make the dressing at home. If I am not successful, I will go back and buy the dressing from the restaurant.
Have you ever been here? If so, what is your favourite thing on their menu? If not, what is stopping you?
