Vegan in Surrey: A&W Beyond Burger

I am probably the last person to be writing or sharing about this, but here it goes.

I was hesitant at first to try this burger. I was first scared that it actually tasted like cow beef. Also, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the burger patty being cooked on the same grill as a cow burger.

I eventually got over my fears and tried it. First, in my opinion, it does not taste like a cow burger. I think the texture is different and the cow burger tastes more bloody (if that makes sense). Second, it is my belief that as long as you are doing your best to not contribute to the animal agriculture industry, then it’s okay, if not encouraged, to increase the supply and demand from non-vegan companies.

This burger is really delicious and amazing! I love the flavour of the patty. I am somewhat ashamed to say this, but it is so good that I get this burger at least twice a month.. I tried to make a burger like this at home, but for some reason, it’s not the same.

When I order this burger, I make sure it doesn’t have that special sauce/uncle Ben’s sauce, cheese or mayo. When I bring it home, I always add veganaise (highly recommended). Also it is imperative that you eat the fries with the warm pre-packaged ketchup. It is the only way to live. Seriously. Also, these fries have the perfect amount of salt on them.
